Director - Justyna Mytnik
Justyna Mytnik was born in 1988. She is a Polish writer/director. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh with MA in History of Art and English Literature. She has written and directed theatre whilst in Scotland. She was the Artistic Director of a new writing drama festival ’Short Sweet Shock’. Currently she studies at the Polish National Film School in Lodz. Her short “No matter what happens, I love you” was selected for the international competition at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival 2016. “Apocalypse” premiered at Curtacinema Rio de Janeiro. She is a recipient of a scholarship for special achievements awarded by the Polish Ministry of Higher Education.
It is a dark fairy tale about loneliness. Susie and Maurice live together in a tower block infested with surreal pigeons.A baby pigeon advises them to look into each other’s eyes,or else they will die. The girl believes the bird,but her boyfriend wants to kill it.
